Ljubljana Trail

Trail Ljubljana takes runners from the heart of the capital, starting near Prešeren Square, through city streets, forests, and Golovec trails, with the longest course reaching Litija and back. Participants experience a mix of urban scenery and nature, finishing with a run past Ljubljana Castle. With routes for all levels, it’s a unique way to explore the city while challenging yourself on trails.

Through the city centre, castle, Golovec’s trails they race,
the climb sets legs on fire, burning at a steady pace.
Some go short, some take the longer line,
all pushing hard to earn their medal in time.

Some run for themselves, some for Strava’s score,
but everyone runs seriously, for trail is what it’s for.
Though Ljubljana’s truly just one town,
it’s rich in woods and forest roads around.

If Golovec hasn’t sapped your strength or will,
you push on to Orle, Molnik, Javor, Janče still,
and then to Litija, keeping up the pace,
through every climb and trail, you finish the race.
